Hello I am looking to move to the northwest side of Chicago. I have lived in Bucktown before, and I know the Bucktown/WickerPark area is nice. I am having trouble finding the right place right now in that area however, so I would like to know what other neighborhoods are good to move too.

Through apartment shopping online I found a couple places in Albany/Irving Park, as well as Lakeview, as well as Humbolt park that interest me, but I don't know anything about them. What are these neighborhoods like (safety, crime, ethnicity, location near to shops/bars/restaurants) or what are other nice areas similar to Bucktown or Wickerpark that I should look into?

Thank you in advanced.

Don't think I've ever heard someone mention Lake View in the same breath as albany park/ irving park. However, Syd's list is pretty comprehensive and truthful.
