First!

...Alright, now that I got that out of the way, tell us about your Chicago "first". Whether you're new to the city, here for a little while, or have been born and raised in Chicago, inform us of a "first" you've experienced in Chicago.

Now, it doesn't have to be unique to Chicago to count (ex. riding on a subway train, visiting a skyscraper observation deck, getting stuck in a three hour traffic jam, etc.) but it did have to happen to you in Chicago and it was a "first" for you.

Here are a few of mine:

1. Seeing pigeons missing one, or all , of their toes.
2. Hearing/seeing a homeless man urinate on the literal corner of Washington and LaSalle.
3. Visit a liquor store with a Catacomb.
4. Watching a man get in a heated, screaming match with another person... when there was no other person around.

What about you? What are some of your firsts that happened in Chicago?

How I loathe that tunnel. If I ever walked through it and was not greeted by the fresh aroma of urine, I'd die of shock.

I always want to beat guys who do that. Like hospitalization beat them. It's just so vile.

But I don't want to get peed on.

I saw a homeless guy on the NE corner of Wacker and Adams (across from the Willis/Sears Tower for those of you not familiar with downtown) whip out his penis and pee right next to the traffic light post in the middle of rush hour once.

Last week, I saw two pigeons having sex.

A pigeon didn't move from the oncoming train while standing on the rail and was crushed.

First place I saw a murder victim lying in the street -- gang hit.

Saw another shooting "victim" lying in the street, though unfortunately she survived. She had just shot and killed a cop moments earlier, and she herself was gunned down by responding officers.

First place I saw a car on fire due to arson rather than maintenance problems during operation.

First place I saw a car theft in progress -- called the cops, they came, and caught the f*#ker in the act.

First time I've been propositioned by a prostitute.

First (and so far only) place where I've seen those goofy "stacked" bicycles like this one. Still not sure how the hell you get on/off this thing or what you do if you have to stop at a light.
