(BTW, the Marlins spent a ton of money in 1997 and this past off season)
Every single one of the teams I listed has out performed the Cubs handily. Nevermind the results the Cubs have got with all the money they have spent.

Not really. Oakland hasn't been to the playoffs since 2006. Marlins haven't been to the playoffs since 2003. Rockies and Diamondbacks have two playoff appearances. The Rays have 3. The Cubs since 2003 meanwhile have 3 playoff appearances. I can't really say they outperformed them handily. Especially Oakland and Florida.

Using your metric of 10 years(01'-11), the A's out did the Cubs handily. With a fraction of the Cubs payroll, none the less. Marlins, Rockies, Rays, and D'backs have actually made WS runs in the last 10-15 years. The Cubs went to the WS around the time that General MacAurther was accepting the surrender of the Empire of Japan.

So yeah, use your ticket sales to pat yourself on the back. Plenty of people do, clearly winning is not much of a concern. Nevermind the fact that the Rickets have no interest in putting a legit ball team on the field. Compare them to Reinsdorf.

LOL I'm not a fan of either Chicago team. I will be watching the Cubs in this upcoming series however.

Ha. But I do wish the Cubs organization hadn't been such a dick to Steve Stone.

BTW, the Cubs payroll this year is 88 million, which ranks 15th in baseball and less than the White Sox.

He said "out-performed the Cubs", not "won the World Series". There's a massive difference between those two levels of performance. Also, notice you said "decade" and not "century". I'm not anti-Cubs, but the poster you were responding to made a good point, and it still stands.

He's the best. Knows what's going to happen 3 pitches in advance.

Too expensive, too far, not as interested as I used to be. Wish Reinsdorf had moved to Addison like they talked about before renovating the cell, then I would have attended more games.
