Chicago has no relationship with any city in the United States, more or less than any other city has with other ones.

It has no negative relationships with any other cities either......

The only cities Chicago would possibly have a relationship with are the suburbs around it and Washington DC because a lot of people from here seem to be going into the political arena!

Chicago and Boston do not get along, I mean, Boston is a big baby and just won't let certain things go, I mean, get over it Boston, it was a long time ago!

Also, Chicago is in love with Austin, Texas.

I don't think that's a uniquely Chicago thing. Most people I know love Austin no matter where they're from, including myself long before I moved to Chicago. Boston is a stretch, too.

Milwaukee is an obvious one just from a proximity standpoint, and to a lesser extent St. Louis, Indy, and Detroit for the same reason.

New York and L.A. are obvious ones from a "largest U.S. cities" standpoint.

That's about it, unless you want to start counting smaller cities in the region like Madison, Rockford, South Bend, Kalamazoo, etc.

Who are you to decide which cities Chicago has a special relationship with? And the OP never said it has to be "unique" to Chicago.

Also I was saying that stuff a bit tounge-in-cheek - get a sense of humor. It's a silly question and deserves a silly answer.

Other than obvious big cities (NYC, LA, SF) and midwestern cities (Milwaukee, Twin Cities, St. Louis, Detroit, Indy), I think you see a lot of action between Chicago and Phoenix, Atlanta and Denver.

And Cleveland is like the girl with a self-image problem always calling Chicago for a booty-call.
