Forgive me if I am echoing what someone else has already stated... The Korean population was greatest in Albany Park along Lawrence Avenue between California and Pulaski. So much that you can see "Seoul Drive" atop the regular street signs. I started coming down to Chicago regularly around 1997 and remember my first Korean buffet, Kang Nam, just north of Lawrence and Kedzie. I remember seeing some type of testicle as an option in the buffet!... As I started coming down more frequently, I noticed how there were more Korean establishments popping up further north along Lincoln Avenue... And then over time I started to see more Korean establishments heading out to the suburbs, such as Morton Grove and going north further into the suburbs along Milwaukee Avenue. There is still a Korean presence in those areas of the city that I have mentioned. But like many prior ethnic groups, over time some chose to branch out versus stay contained in smaller homes and lots. As is said in Korean: An nyong hi kye se yo! (Stay in peace!)- Master Jay in Milwaukee

The Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire (the only school in District 125) is one of the highest ranked, best high schools, not only in the Chicago area, but naturally. Stevenson has a very large number of Asian students, in large part because of Asian parents selecting their home, in good part, so their kids could go to Stevenson.

This mid-Lake County school district includes some or all of about 12 suburbs (such as Buffalo Grove, Long Grove, Vernon Hills, Riverwoods)

Agree. We are in D125 and I would definitely say that there is a significantly sized Asian population here. My kids have friends that travel back to Asia to study abroad for a semester or so. Very cool (especially at the elementary age)!

Very cool indeed. Incredible diversity (although surprisingly not economic). Asians mark the second wave of educationally motivated groups to move to the district specifically because of AESHS. The first wave, probably in the two decades on either side of the turn of the century, was made up of Jews, already in large numbers in the nw burbs

Morton Grove has the largest percentage of Asians in the suburbs. As of the 2010 census, roughly 30% of its residents are Asian. The population has large numbers of Filipinos, as well as people from Syria, India, and Pakistan. The village also has a branch of the Chicago Muslim Community Center.

I would think neighboring Skokie would be right up there, too

I never thought the Asian population in Evanston was that significant, but, of course, between students ans staff at NU, there is a sizable number of Asians.
