The Asian population in the more suburban and single-family home-oriented blocks is still very small in keeping with the other lakefront 'burbs. With Northwestern, I am sure there are many more people of Asian descent in the community who are not counted as 'residents.'

I can't remember from where, but I came across an article that stats Asians make up 12-14% of Northwest Cook County. This was several years back, so it may be greater than that now. Today, Cook County has risen to being 7.7% Asian, according to 2017 estimates; Dupage is 12%; Lake (Illinois) is 8%.

The northwest suburbs have the highest concentration of people of Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, and Sri Lankan descent in the Chicagoland area.
