I wonder if posts like the ones in the link below are considered more city data friendly since my post are supposed to be so disrespectful and offensive

In regards to the OP's last comment:
Not everyone will agree on every post or every subject, but some people are not capable of being respectable or respectful. That's not my fault. All I can do is state my opinion in a respectful way, and if someone decides to call me a name and disrespect me I simply ask them to not respond to me.

Ah, so now we come back to a statement I made prior in this discussion. Apparently I have to be a certain type of black to discuss issues relating to blacks in Chicago. This was my point: I look black enough for some people, but am the "wrong" type of black for other people??

So is this thread only for black Chicagoans descended from Southern black slaves? B/c if that's the case, I know a lot of people here that should bounce out as well.

Immigrants generally come to America for opportunities and look to assimilate, not help marginalized natives fight for civil rights. I do not know where your family is from, but I'd be very surprised if there was a high opinion of African-Americans in your country of origin. It is extremely difficult for immigrants to understand why black Americans are in the position we are, especially when the cultural exports do not put us in a favorable light yet cast America as the Land with Golden Streets.

I didn't realize how 1970's backwards chicagos race relations were until I moved to the sacramento area. Prior to that, I thought it was simply normal.

That's all lovely and everything, but I'm not an immigrant, didn't grow up as one, so the above doesn't really apply. I was born and raised in the good ol' US of A, so this is my country of origin, as far as I'm concerned, thank-you-very-much.

I never said you were an immigrant, but if your parents are, there is nothing rooting them to the AA experience. It makes a difference in the way you view this country and the world. They were essentially a blank canvas (or a not-so-blank one, where they learned negative things about AA culture, as most outsiders do).
