I'm looking for a hotel with great views of the Chicago skyline or a great view of a portion of the skyline (looking down chicago river etc), preferably a hotel with balconies or windows that open.

Do any such hotels exist? I can't seem to find any.

Thanks.

Most hotels dont have balconies at that height, or windows that open, too many potential problems

This one has balconies...

Chicago Downtown Hotels | Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel Chicago | Home

I can't vouch for the views tho as the hotel is on the lower floors of the Aqua building, with mid to high floors for residential.

Our room at the BW Hawthorne Suites in Lakeview had a fantastic view of the skyline but you can't see the river from there.

Wyndham Grand Riverfront and, of course, Trump. Both have outside decks with great views.

Thanks all. I actually got some great shots from the Hyatt at McCormick and from one of the new condo towers in the south loop.
