According to one of my favorite websites for weather, the National Weather Service, it looks like winter a comin'.

NOAA National Weather Service

Looks like post-weekend night-time lows in the mid 20's and daytime highs of a chilling 35, at least on Tuesday.

There is another link below following to my favorite radar in the world. You click on "nexrad sites" on the left and pick KLOT which looks to be centered a little southeast of the city. Since we've been upgraded with dual-pol radar, you can also look at something on the map called Hydrometeor classification. This can be found under the product menu tab once you get the radar for your area loaded up. This actually gives you an idea of what type of precipitation is falling, whether it be freezing rain, hail, rain, or snow. Greens and yellows on the radar are rain, white and blue snow, and some other things like "BI" which is biologic, and "GC" which is ground clutter.

COD Meteorology -- Satellite and Radar Data

Not related to snow, but interesting nevertheless, they now have a northern lights probability map located here:

OVATION Aurora

Stay warm folks!

I'd be surprised if winter didn't come.
