I'm going to go ahead and blame global warming.

Well part of the reason we are so cold is that Alaska and the PNW (Plus Europe) have been dealing with record heat. Arctic melting seems to be messing with the stability of the jet stream, as predicted.

So can we all agree that the last several weeks have redeemed this summer and we can forgive whatever happened in June? We're on track to have, what, five weeks in a row of 80 and above? And yet it's rarely been muggy or stuffy.

I've been rather pleased with this relatively dry air we've had lately. Even when it's been in the upper 80s and lower 90s, most of the time it's still been pleasantly comfortable. Normally once it starts reaching the mid-80s I start feeling gross unless there's a nice breeze. This evening was the first time I can ever remember thinking to myself, "it's 73 degrees out, I wonder if I should have worn long sleeves?"

Agree--anything over 85, with rising humidity, and there's definitely a need for a 2nd shower. With the exception of a week or 10 days, this summer has been pretty pleasant..

It's been almost perfect for the last month. A few days a bit too toasty, but otherwise really nice.
