Anyone remember a restaurant by the name of the Half-Shell? I remember going to this restaurant before Sox games in the late '60s/early '70s. Not sure if that was the name, but believe it was close. I remember it being a dark place, too. I think you had to go down a flight of stairs to get into the place. Had a bar, too. Thx.

Ha-ha! Must have been Cubs games! And it opened in 1968; it was a recently opened place back then. At least I got the bar and basement setting right! Glad to see it is still around after all these years. I use to like Twin Anchors which not too far away, too.

Twin Anchors is still open, as well. IIRC, it's on Sedgwick north of North Ave. Don't ask me for the exact address number, since I always forget exact address numbers. I want to say it's on something like the 1600 or 1700 north block of Sedgwick, though. A brief scene in one of the Christopher Nolan directed Batman movies(either Batman Begins or The Dark Knight, I forget which movie of the 2 it was), was filmed inside there btw.
