It started in October. I’ll never forget the winter of 2019. Pure misery with the bitter cold, snow every few days and brutal wind chills.

Then the spring is back and forth and no consistency.

Then it’s sunny and blue skies but the wind is 100 mph.

IL weather is useless.

Probably only have 3 to 4 months of decent weather in this dump.

Stay away if you like nice weather!

I gave Chi 12 years, never warmed up to it completely (pun intended). I miss Hyde Park and oak Park, but not the property tax, the weather, the traffic, the crowds whenever you want to do something fun.

Welcome to the Midwest, buddy.

I prefer to think of what you describe as God's way of telling Californians to move somewhere else.

I didn't think it was too bad. There were a couple of days with decent snowfall and about a weeks worth of severe cold. Overall it was a pretty average winter not the mildest and not the worst.

Yes we have some sucky days but i'll take that over the hurricanes, mudslides, and earthquakes which can totally destroy your home. I think about the people who live in mobile homes that in a tornado, have all their personal items and even their important papers strewn over all the land, who knows who has got ahold of that and now knows your personal info, sheesh.

I will take our weather over all that. Weather can destroy all you stuff leaving you devastated. But cold and snow eventually goes away. We have it pretty good here in Chicago. (at least in the city - i know we have tornadoes in other counties which do destroy homes. But i mean in the city.

Lived in Chicago all my life. This is normal.

You weirdos in California with your "30 degrees is cold" weather Your mudslides, your wildfires, your earthquakes, your floods, rockslides, 3000 dollar bedrooms(Not apartments, but bedrooms), driving 3 hours to work, 4.40c gas, etc etc

Talk a lot of smack about the east and its cold weather, but expect us to feel bad when disaster hits over there. Not me.

I ride motorcycles and classic cars. Winters suck. People who do indoor things shouldn't complain. That's one thing that gets me. When people's hobbies aren't outdoor, but complain about winter.
Grr.
I switch my hobbies to indoor and winter becomes fine. You can still do half the stuff you do in summer.
We have technology that creates heat.

The weather here is fine by me. I prefer this to 80, 90, 100 degrees.

Actually this spring is pretty decent, nothing compared to last year’s spring (historically cold)

At lest we don’t have hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, earthquakes, fires,

Make the most of late spring, summer, and fall to recharge your batteries; it makes you to not take for granted

However, If I had the dough I would be by Santa Monica CA and enjoy year round

newsflash, tornadoes can happen in the city

they are extrememly rare however, I think the lake might have something to do with it, or that tornadoes in general are pretty rare and small events that don't effect much land at all
