I am curious if anyone is familiar with homeschooling in North Chicago (not in the burbs). While we no longer live in Chicago, we are considering a move back if the homeschool community is as vibrant as one can hope. My kids are well into elementary school now so I am not looking for park play dates (which were very fun when they were younger). I am more interested in enrichment classes, hybrid/part time schools through private schools, co-ops,... the good stuff. I am familiar with Classical Conversations, I am not looking for that either. For what it’s worth, we are mostly Charlotte Mason in philosophy but I wont turn away other approaches if the vibes are good. Is there a good resource that lists homeschool options? I’m not getting very far on facebook or google. I’d love to hear about your experiences, good or bad.

Also not looking for opinions on homeschooling itself or the public school system or great private schools in the area. We’ve been homeschooling for several years now and this is a well thought out decision for our family- and not based on any traditional school system in particular. Thanks for understanding!

I suggest you take a quick peek at some of the greater Chicagoland meetup groups. They can help you network with northside of Chicago homeschoolers.
