As Blue politics creeps out of the city and into the surrounding area, the breakdown of civil society follows right on its heels.

And that is exactly what is happening. I have many friends in the burbs and other areas even further from the city and they are very worried about that as well

When it come to your Mayors (plural), district attorney and city council, it's a bunch of adults making decisions LIKE KIDS.

I still convinced that this intense "woke" movement is temporary. It will calm down once people start losing money. It will also calm down just by natural forces - people eventually tire of the same things being said over and over.

"Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, and weak men create hard times."

We are somewhere between the 3rd and 4th statement here. Once the hard times waylay Progressive's pocketbooks, they will suddenly not care as much about being so inclusive.

It will only be as temporary as it takes for the Wokesters to suffer serious setbacks at the ballot box. What other reason would they have to course-correct? And I see no indication the body politic will be prepared to issue those electoral shellackings any time soon.

When New York City was the capital three of the four Cabinet departments, War, Treasury and Attorney General sat in Fraunces Tavern. I bet they made better decisions there than they do at City Hall, a few blocks uptown, nowadays or in Chicago.
