Just kids being kids breaking into the Thompson Center post office. All from the same demographic. This one's not as serious as others but given they're prepared with head lamps and that it fits a long standing crime pattern it needs to be taken seriously.

But no one inside appears concerned about security or being caught at this point.
And this line right here is the worst part of the whole article and situation.

I feel that most of the crimes being committed in Chicago these last couple of months have been by teenagers.

Kmanshouse, and with school coming to an end, and warmer weather ahead, and festivals scheduled, WHAT do you think is in store for Chicago?!?

It's almost like they noticed the adults are eroding their guardrails.

I'm not sure school is really a barrier for the kids doing this stuff.

A bigger-picture issue I see is that this incident follows the continued trend we’ve seen since 2020, where these thugs have now brought their bad behavior downtown. Prior to 2020, downtown was spared from their generally bad behavior, but since the summer riots where they saw that they were able to cause chaos with no repercussions, they are emboldened. It was one thing when they were destroying their own neighborhoods, but they are now a menace to the general public. Downtown Chicago was once a crown jewel, but they are slowly destroying it and taking what little reputation Chicago has left with it.

Just saw a thing on Youtube. A dude in Chicago had his jeep stolen, and his dashcam was rolling as these dudes and their buddies in another car (probably also stolen) went joyriding. Zero fuggs given about getting caught...they were cutting off cars, blowing through stop lights (like busy intersections), stopped in at McDonalds, stopped in for gas...not a care in the world about cops.

If you're not raised with common decency and respect for others, the only thing keeping you at bay is fear of consequences. When that's out the window, well that's it then.

Wondering what the over under is for violent crime this holiday weekend. Already off to a bad start with this incident. I really can’t comprehend the level of violence in this city
