Also there's that one study some years back, which concluded most people involved in street-level criminal activity in the long run would be better off taking a minimum wage fast-food job. But nobody is willing to do what they don't wanna do if it doesn't provide immediate gratification (which of course has been severely exacerbated by social media/phone addiction).
