It's alright. Another month or two of nice weather each year would help a lot. Summer is very short.

There are things I like and things that I don't like—positives and negatives. I certainly love the area and am proud to call it my home.

I don't live in Chicago anymore, I live in a suburb. But I love Chicago and some of its suburbs. I would not want to live anywhere else.

Yep, agree with both as well. I moved to the burbs over 6 years ago, but those were the the main reasons I enjoyed the city.

Add in pretty easy access to parks/Lake Michigan and other trails, and other recreation.

You mean like almost this whole winter? This weekend will be another beauty in the high 40s and sunny. I do think we will finally get a bit of winter after that.

We've been lucky this winter, as this one has been milder than most past winters. I remember a few years ago when we had several days of colder wind chills, and had 'polar vortex' type temperatures where it was colder than normal. Most winters there have been certain days and weeks, where I've taken breaks from biking. Luckily this winter it hasn't been cold as much, where I've noticed to my surprised I've biked a LOT more(as far as my winter biking goes) than past winters for sure. Which is nice.

Other than colder temperatures lasting TOO LONG in my opinion, I like living in Chicago. There are negative aspects I don't like, such as corruption and taxes being higher than I prefer in some cases. I do like how transit is pretty good, so besides driving one can take a break from that. But that also if you drive, for the most part(aside from certain parts of the city I mostly don't drive into, due to parking being awful in those areas) driving isn't too bad to do either.
