The reason I said $5k, is from a different company called Vinovest. I signed up for it, a place where you can buy and sell wine, or at least have the company sell your wine to businesses. I asked about selling wine, and they responded.

We offer four different investment plans to our clients. The Starter plan starts at a minimum $5,000 investment, the Plus plan starts at a minimum $10,000 deposit, the Premium plan starts at a minimum $50,000 investment, and the Grand Cru plan starts at a minimum $250,000 dollars investment. As you upgrade your plan, you gain access to a number of perks and new offerings, as well as reduced management fees.

But in a separate e-mail, which seems to be automated, wine-investing starts at $1000 for minimum deposit and whiskey-investing at $1750.

But since the $5k was a direct response to my question, I'm gonna go with 5k as a cosignment value.

How many bottles do you have? How have they been stored? When I consigned my wines with TCWC, they came to my house and saw my temperature controlled cellar. We had dinner together and drank a few bottles from my collection. They were happy with the provenance and had no problem selling my wines. These companies don't want to deal with small quantities of unknown provenance unless they are first growth Bordeaux, Grand Cru Burgundy, or top of the line wines from anywhere that will sell for big bucks. They take a percentage of the profit, so it has to be worth their time and effort. They have to store the wines in temperature controlled warehouse and keep track of them. It's a big business and the overhead is big. If they sell them to a collector who drinks them and they aren't good, it's bad for business.

TCWC and HDH are very upfront about what they are willing to deal with. Use the phone and call them.

I already said how many I have.

The rest isn't useful for me.
