Blago and Obama = a match made in heaven
Let's not forget they have a mutual best friend, Tony Rezko.

.....and McCain had Charles Keating, and stuttering Sarah had her own religious whack-job, and the AIP. Seems that both sides had their skeletons. Maybe it's time to get past this?

Mr. Obama is too shrewd and smart to have Blago in any top level post. Now maybe he is smart enough to appoint him to a mid-low level position or give him a diplomatic assignment to an "easy" country. This would help Illinois tremendously by getting this joker out of office now instead of waiting until 2010. It would help IL take advantage of Federal funding we are close to losing. I would love it if Blago appoints himself Senator. Someone else to get positive action going instead of all the self promoting "preening" Blago does. Then in 2010, we can vote someone else in as Senator.

It is not gonna happen (How much you want to bet? ). Obama knows Blago is a liability (heck, his approval ratings are even lower than Bush's)

Not just because two people belong to the same party mean you will give them a pat on the back. McCain avoided Bush like the plague, and also called for Senator Ted Stevens from Alaska to step down

Yeah, Blago's going to jail.
I do think he will bring Arne Duncan to DC.

By the way, Mamama Mia, I do have a "Not my president" sticker. It has Bush's ugly mug on it. I'll send it to you in January, and you can superimpose Obama over Bush.

God forbid, Blago appoints himself senator. I'd like to see Tammy Duckworth or Jan Schakowsky appointed myself.

Obama won't touch Blago. Not a chance. But it will be interesting to see what Illinois politicians Barack brings to Washington with him. It sounds like Rahm Emanuel is already in position as Chief of Staff (smart move). But if I were Obama, I'd be careful about bringing too many Chicago guys in. I've heard speculation about Arne Duncan as well, and think that's a bad move considering the plight of CPS right now. Hopefully Obama will make a bolder choice.
