I used to work for a nonprofit but then I sold my soul and assist multinational companies in their (legal) avoidance of U.S. tax. Also work with real estate and hedge funds.

This was convenient timing.

CPA, pending that the Illinois State Board of Accountancy sends me my license; just got laid off from a public accounting firm today, 2.5 years experience.

I have experience working on real estate and manufacturing clients.

BS in Accountancy and a BS in Finance.

I used to work at some hotshot NASA job doing Proe Modeling and Detailing for stuff that goes in the Space Shuttle, Space Station, and Lunar Lander. But now I'm a professional Homeboy, Mammas Boy, and professionally unemployed for 31 weeks now. Life kinda sucks... I moved in with my Parent's.

One of the specialty tax groups. I spoke too soon - there were 4 associates laid off yesterday (Thursday). That's supposed to be it for now.

Yeah, that was not my group. I'm not sure how many they let go in my group. They have some program to help with resume updating and contacting recruiters. I'm not too worried about finding something else either through that or through friends at other companies.
