I went to this on Friday afternoon, only because I had never gone before. Well, once was enough.

It was a loud mass of underdressed, sweaty, barely literate people. Overpriced and disgusting food. Never again.

Yep. It's actually worse than Uptown down there. I haven't gone in ten years, but I used to work nearby and dreaded the start of Taste each year.

I liked the food, but I agree with the rest, all too much.

When I first moved to Chicago, five years ago, I went but thought-"this is it?".....I did not see anything special about it.

I always tell people if you've never been, go but you'll only need to do it once. It seems like they have the same stuff every year.

Ya, I agree, I enjoyed Summerfest much more than I did the Taste. The selection of food is about the same, you don't have to eff with "tickets", and the musical lineup is much better (much, much better.. every day has a major act playing)

Summerfest is better by a large margin.

Lollapalooza? Big deal. It is overpriced and pretentious.

I am not one of those people that think Chicago is better than another city in every single way.

I do not drink the Kool Aid for anything.
