You can most likely find a 1BR in Lakeview in a vintage, courtyard building for 1200.00. However, the highrises are typically more expensive (take for example Hawthorne House which you can google).

I suggest you might want to use more than one apartment finding service. You aren't bound to only one as you probably are aware. Check out The Apartment People in Lakeview (in 3100 N Broadway block). It all depends on the person assigned to help you.

I would explore all angles simultaneously. Bottom line. For 1200.00 you can find something. Good luck to you and hope things work out
Good idea thanks I gonna read it today Yup, I have already checked the Hawthorne: splendid... but it is the building that wants me to leave my doggy's balls at the entrance
Thanks so much for your help

I would make due with the few appointments you have now but allow time before and after each appointment to walk the neighborhood. Look for hand written signs in windows or in front of buildings. The sharpie sign is often a good indicator that the building is owner occupied or maintained which will tend to skew less expensive then large management buildings and the landlords may also be more willing to work with you on the dog.

When I moved to town I did so from out of state and ended up making a few concessions on my apartment that I would not have made had I lived here and been able to walk/drive around and have time on my side. Good luck and try not to get too stressed.

Here are a few listings that may work for you:
Lakeview - 1 Bedroom / 1 Bath Unit With Heat Included $1050 (http://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/apa/1360525415.html - broken link)

Lakeview - Large 1 Bedroom / 1 Bath Unit Available $1125 (http://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/apa/1360554077.html - broken link)

All Utilities Incld. Red Ln 5 Blcks. Updated Kitchen.Bath.Pets OK! (http://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/apa/1360273206.html - broken link)

Unique Layout - Available NOW - Cat & Dog Friendly (http://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/apa/1360036819.html - broken link)

LOWER RENT!! Next to Halsted, Pet Friendly, hardwood floors (http://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/apa/1360104977.html - broken link)

1 Bath Garden Apartment Plus Den on Lakeview's Finest Block! (http://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/apa/1359144515.html - broken link)

So nice Yes I feel a little bit stressed.. Just can't wait to get out from Miami which is really hell for me and doggy.. Hopefully, Chicago will be the good one! I just need to be close from transportations, when you don't drive, well, you know...

He is not a big friend of weather in general, be it hot or cold. The only thing I'd recommend is to keep some baby wipes/washcloth in your foyer during the winter months. This isn't bulldog specific but when the sidewalks are salted it can really irritate their paws. We had a couple instances of bleeding which made him really uncomfortable so now we always thoroughly wipe the pads of his paws if there is snow on the ground.
