If everyone is tried of them ... here are two easy solution ideas:
do something about it ....
stop creating new ones.
suggest they refer to old ones and close the thread
offically make ET and UR a "denomination"
the problem is that it would mean there would be 30,002 denominations ... not 30,000
So -- by you opening another thread on the ET/UR debate can I conclude that you are not tired of the debate?
But yes I agree with you twin that those people who say that they are tired of the debate should not open threads and comment on the UR/ET debate threads

The above is my thought too... although I am now, having posted in the thread, an accomplice.

Its not about coming to a specific conclusion on the debate. That will not happen until Christ himself returns and brings the conclusion himself.
It is about a using the forum to spread the doctrine. UR has been kept secret from the mass population for nearly 1700 years and now the word is getting out. I realize some people hate the fact that it is but there is nothing you or anyone else can do to stop it. Even if City-Data banned the debate of ET, UR, And Annihilation, there would be another place that would fill in the gap. City-Data would just lose much of its traffic ...
I cannot see how the debate can be avoided . Fundamental christianity is rooted in fear and the threats of consequences of its message being rejected , which is eternal torment .
It's a fear based religion that has the masses under it's control , many under its control know deep down its message does not add up, but they are in fear that if they truely look at it somehow God is not going to be to pleased with them , and they will be shouted down or excommunicated from their fellowships if they voice there doubts about what does not add up to them.
I would like to encourage all those who are under it's influence that there is life outside of the fundamental system , do not fear questioning anything , only question your fears.

I'm sure that is an idealistic goal that you have "It is about a using the forum to spread the doctrine." , though I don't know if I would go as far to say that it's "been kept secret from the mass population for nearly1700 years" because God does say there is nothing new under the sun Ecclesiastes 1:9.
I don't have anyway of knowing how much traffic City-Data overall gets and maybe you do. It would be interesting to see in percentage form (graph style possibly) how much this forum does averagely in comparison.
I was some surprised to read from somebody that other Christian forums don't allow UR posts \ OP's. There must be some explanation for that. Whether it's like what you claim that it's "UR has been kept secret" for whatever reason and want to keep it that way -- to the other extreme view -- that UR proponents have an insatiable compulsiveness, .. again I don't know. But I can see that it has definite "lines drawn in the sand" that produces more neg's than pos's.
I read a interesting "true-ism" quote from [I don't remember the name] which said (and I suppose it can be applicable to any opposing view points)
