It is you and Mike who have been saying the opposite . . . if we don't know the Father (through the OT scribblings) then we don't know Jesus!! Make up your mind. It is the living Word of God that reveals the Father . . . that is Jesus!! His Holy Spirit is within to interpret what is "written in our hearts."
How do we know Him? He is love. If you do not love you do not know God:

That is what its all about. Learning how to love. Learning that God is love.

Regarding the video, I would say this:
It is true that at the time of Jesus' ministry 2,000 years ago, indeed He was the only one who knew something of the Father. He was the only one who knew how to walk as a Son of God!!
However, Jesus came that we might have life, and that we might have it abundantly. The works that He did, we must also do, and greater.
Christ IN us breaks the yoke. He is the Anointing which has been placed in the hearts of ALL men. God draws man according to HIS plan, and we will all learn to walk as Sons of God.
So since Jesus came, we have been learning how to walk as Sons.
So for Jesus to come again and say that only He knows the Father would not be possible, since His Seed has been placed in all mankind, and we are being brought into the Father thanks to Him. He is the Way, yes. The Way to become Sons like He is.

Jesus is the living Word of God and we can attain the TRUTH of the Word of God ONLY through Jesus . . . not the "precepts and doctrines of men" and words "written in ink" by false teachers. We need not that any man teach us . . . Jesus abides with us and God has "written in our hearts" the truth of Jesus and His unambiguous example of God's true nature and love for us ALL.
