The spirit of antichrist has been here since 1 AD when they crucified Christ. They were anti-Christ because they crucified him. Wars, lies, disasters have always been with us, sometimes much worse in the past than what is here.
The "beast" of Daniel & Revelation was clearly identified by the protestant reformers starting sometime around the 15th-16th century AD. The beast ruled for nearly 1300 years before losing her power and much of her authority. However, much of that which was lost is quietly being gathered once again.
Don't look anywhere else but into "man made religion" for the beast is counting on the religious system to carry out it's agenda to deceive...and if it were possible, even the elect! Mark 13:20
