Similar topic as ones that have gone before me, but with a different spin.

What is a "compact" way of telling someone who tells a Catholic they are NOT Christian that such isn't the case?

In me early years I was Catholic. It was not until I entered the AF did I come across anyone who said that to me. The comeback that I finally adopted was "It is not very Christian of you to say that."

If you have time for longer than a one liner, simply point out that by eliminating Catholicism they would place Christianity in 5th place by size. The largest religions grouped by size would than be

Islam
Catholicism
Hinduism
Buddhism
Christianity

How 'bout: "The eleventh commandment is: Thou shall not be ignorant".

How 'bout: Is that what they teach you? (And walk away)

How 'bout: I go to the Church Jesus created. Who created your church?

I'm not Christian or Catholic but if I were I'd say. " Let God decide"

Cheers,
Aeroman

PS
I consider Catholics Christians.

Well, being christian in this day in age is difficult. every denomination usually is the right one. the baptist say catholics are not christian. the JW say that if you are not JW you are not christian. Lutheran, methodists, etc... all point at someone else and claim they are wrong. We as humans have let that fleshly beast within us to divide us. If everyone of us were in the same building every sunday we will find another reason to puff our chest and say i am better than you. It might even be rich and poor. These days the rich churches say that it is a curse to be poor.
a one liner would be to just look at them, shake your head, then dust off the bottom of your shoes, then walk away. well, that really is not a one liner becasue you say nothing, but speak volumes at the same time

If you want to know what a Catholic believes, you should go to a Catholic for insight!

I always say that Catholics are the one true Christian church because that is what the church teaches. The Catholics were there before the Protestants.
