A Universalist on the following thread; //www.city-data.com/forum/chris...makes-all.html Post #22, made this statement.

''You are right it IS a lie ABOUT Christian Universalism. That is NOT remotely what we believe!!! It is a lie deliberately spread by the power and money hungry mainstream ET churches to discredit UR.''

On that same thread, on Post #3, another Universalist made this comment.

''Geez I wish the Eter's would study a little bit.''

Universalist's claim that they have a higher understanding of the Scriptures. So I thought I would list a few of their conflicting beliefs. This isn't to mock them. It's just to show that they most definitely do not have a higher understanding of the scriptures.

These are some of the things I remember various Universalists saying on the City-Data forum at one time or another.

1.) There is no hell.

2.) There is a hell, but it's temporary.

3.) Hell is inside you.

4.) There is no heaven.

5.) There is a heaven.

6.) You don't go to heaven when you die.

7.) Heaven is inside you.

8.) Satan doesn't exist.

9.) Satan does exist, but he's not Lucifer.

10.) We are Satan.

11.) You don't have to believe in Christ to be saved. That would be saving yourself.

12.) You do have to believe in Christ to be saved, but you can wait until after you die to do it.

13.) Jesus Christ is God.

14.) Jesus Christ is not God.

15.) The Bible is the word of God.

16.) The Bible is not the word of God.

These conflicting beliefs are held by Universalists. And yet they claim for themselves a higher understanding of the Scriptures.

It seems that perhaps the one thing on which they all agree (and about which they are all wrong ) is the eventual salvation of all men.

Now again, I only wish to draw attention to the fact that Universalists can't even agree on what they believe except for the one thing in which they are all wrong. The mistaken belief in universal salvation.

The belief in Universal salvation and a higher understanding of the Scriptures is mutually exclusive.
