Assuming you go to a fairly conservative, run of the mill type church with teaches the fundamentals like salvation only through Christ, the trinity, Biblical literalism etc, do you know anyone who seems outwardly fairly 'with it' but has some peculiar or unorthodox beliefs? Or even not so strange beliefs, like a Baptist who believes in evolution (actually many Christians seem to believe in evolution) or maybe a secret Universalist?

Yes! Me! I'm an absolute thorn in my Pastor's side because I have actually read the Bible.

I could be the one in the church I attend too, since I attend a Southern Baptist Church and I believe baptism is necessary for salvation.

Not really, but I can say after much study that I am convinced tithing is not a Christian requirement. I'm also convinced that Jesus did not make grape juice at Canae. Luke 9:62 makes me less than certain about the doctrine of eternal security. And much more.

And you may be correct. Scripture supports both points of view.

Oh yeah things like that, Christians tend to have differing opinions on 'small' things like that (except maybe the eternal security).

I don't "go" to church anymore , because I was too liberal for them..I said homosexuality was not a choice, all Muslims were not terrorists, women were equal to men in the church, the trinity is not in the bible, and eternal damnation is a fear doctrine of man, and that the Baptists, Catholics and Mormons were our brothers and sisters in Chrict.

I'm sure you can find many churches who don't subscribe to those beliefs.
