I hope I don’t hurt anyone’s feelings or make anyone mad but I just have a few questions about this thread.
When you go out on these “I dare you” witnessing adventures, are you doing so because you genuinely care about the people you hope to witness to or is it just because it’s something you’re supposed to do?
When you go to the bar (or wherever) are you prepared to LISTEN to the people you intend to witness to or are you already prepared with all the answers??
If you do intend to listen to the people, are you then mentally, emotionally, and spiritually prepared to give some REAL answers and not just some memorized catch phrases??
Suppose someone you witness to actually accepts Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Are you then prepared to follow up with this person, to be their friend, to be there when they need you or will you just say, “See you in church”??
I say all this because I’ve been on “that side of the fence”. I was one of those lonely, hurting people who went to the bars and drank heavily just so I wouldn’t have to feel the pain or relive the memories for just a few hours. Yes, I needed God but I also needed a friend, a listening ear, a person who honestly cared whether I lived or died. A flesh and blood person who’s shoulder I could cry on when I was hurting, whose hand I could hold when I was scared, and whose heart was open to love me without judging me because of who I am or where I’ve been or the things I’ve done to survive.

Are you prepared to be THAT person??????
If you're prepared to believe Jesus Christ died for all your sins (past, present and future), probably.
