I think the anti-Christ is the spirit of the world, the flesh and the d(evil) that is opposed to all that God is. The spirit of anti-Christ opposes all of God's virtue and bears false witness against the Holy Spirit. The spirit of anti-Christ uses the power of fear and particularly the fear of death to rule in the world.
Could you explain a little more about the belief that he uses the fear of death to rule the world? I am honestly curious at the viewpoint, since I know many non believers who don't seem to have any more of a fear of their life ending than non believers. (Which is not necessarily a conclusive study either, just an observation). I am just interested to see you elaborate a little.
There is another group of the spirit of antichrist will influence into his thinking which is all people who reject the poor people of the world and be bias instead to the wealth of the world and what people can get looking down at the poor people , disabled, undeveloped people and people who may be a drag of the economies of the nation , ...This the nature of the spirit of antichrist who will promote these idols against the Lord Jesus Christ and in turn put the mark of the beast spiritually on these deceived people who are out of the will of God , and if these people with this mark of the beast were to pass on , Then Jesus said they would be not allowed to enter heaven and would be judged harshly........ Don`t alway look to some individual in some lost time , where this could be all the people you know could be antichrist and be lost to God .....One example of people of a nation were antichrist ruled was the people of nazi Germany who lived in the cities and these people reject the Jews and killed many of them and would be judged by Lord Jesus for their hearts and what they did or did not do...
He'll look like Mitt Romney, but will actually be convincingly sincere and likable. And I don't want to be on this planet any more when it happens. BTW: I did see "The Omen."

Satan and the Anti-Christ were only labels for the viciousness that exists as potential in every person's heart. One can act in faith with the teachings and support goodness, or choose to act against the faith, and do evil.
Millions of "satans" and "anti-christs" are among us, behind us, and will exist in the future.
It is the choices of our hearts that decides who we are.
I wouldnt rule out Islam as the anti christ either. A mosque sits ontop of where the temple would be right now and it is a fast growing religion and is very anti Christ. No other group of people out there rule with force and intimidation like them.
Do you not understand that you are the temple of the Spirit. And that the Spirit of God dwells within you?
So, does the anti-Christ, for man opposes (and exalts himself, beyond) that which is called his holy house.
