Correct.. Romney did made many u-turns on conservative issues and absolutly he is not even a Christian. (Nor is Obama for that matter)

Why do I think God allowed Obama to win the elections? ... IMHO from a spiritual pov, the alternative would have been worse.

At least with Obama it's clear he's no Christian when one bows in a Muslim mosque, when one openly promotes gay marriage, when one openly endorses the right of women to abort their child even though completely delivered. And being clear one can identify the wolf. It would not surprise me that in this term Obama will announce (or be discovered) that he converted to Muslim.

But the far worse wolf is one that comes in sheep's clothing (speaking in spiritual terms)
OK, maybe there isn't that much to disagree on then. God bless, and God bless America. God is still on our side despite of our shortcomings. Everyone who believes in the Bible knows how it will eventually end, and our votes will do nothing to change God's plan.

Down syndrome - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Abortion rates
A 2002 literature review of elective abortion rates found that 91–93% of pregnancies in the United Kingdom and Europe with a diagnosis of Down syndrome were terminated. Data from the National Down Syndrome Cytogenetic Register in the United Kingdom indicates that from 1989 to 2006 the proportion of women choosing to terminate a pregnancy following prenatal diagnosis of Down syndrome has remained constant at around 92%.

In the United States a number of studies have examined the abortion rate of fetuses with Down syndrome. Three studies estimated the termination rates at 95%, 98%, and 87% respectively
One needs to keep statistics in perspective. First who are the sample group taken from.
Here it is probable the sample was taken from woman who chose DNA testing to determine the probability of Birth defects. In all probability the result will show a very high of choice for any severe birth Defect

the test population is biased in favor of abortion.

Most babies diagnosed with disabilities before birth are being aborted instead of given a chance at life. Societal pressure to destroy such an imperfect life is enormous. Yet, babies with disabilities need to enjoy the same privileged right to life that you do.

Somehow, I don't think God is really that concerned with our pathetic little human attempts at governing ourselves.

I believe God has a sense of humor, so maybe He's just amused.

Those people who are not happy where they are, can always move to the area which are more to their liking.

YOU are in charge of your life (or sin, as you put it), so it makes no sense to blame the sins of the nation on the president of the country. Your relationship with God is between you and God, and your neighbor should not affect it in any way. If your neighbor sins, then pray for him. You seem to prefer to see your neighbor 'split off' and disappear to a different country, but that will do nothing to improve your personal relationship with God.
Well said. Can't rep again.

This is what we should expect though the way things are going. America in their vote for a second term of this president have declared that they support Homosexual marriages and Pro Choice which are central issues against Christian values. The humanist movement is strong in this country. The bottom line is one cannot separate "Religion"/human philosophy from Government. They only want THEIR Religion of humanism and its values to run the show.

So when Christian posts regarding politics are removed from either here or the politics forum it is only evidence that the jaws are clamping down. Never mind the "Separation of Church and State" was initially implemented by Baptists. It does not mean Christian values were not to be used as the foundation of the nation. It doesn't mean to exclude God and his values for a nation from it as it is commonly being interpreted nowadays.

Long story short, this nation has progressed from the Christian values to the Humanist values. We don't want God, and when this happens GOD doesn't want us. Abandon God he will abandon you!

Everyone will believe in God eventually. The rebellion has an expiration date.

Anyone who bases their vote purely on Christian values, could not have voted for either candidate. It is as simple as that. The only other choise is a 3rd candidate, or boycotting the elections entirely.

Moderator cut: FYI

We did not allow strictly political posts during the election, about the election, because we have an election sub forum
for that purpose.

.The election is over now and this thread is allowed as it encompasses the religious aspect of some of the things that were voted and passed.
