No - Christ was a man of great logic and wisdom. God is all mighty - and we are mere germs in his presence. Why would this all mighty force and source of eternal existence bother tossing us into a fire for ever? It would be like a foolish curious boy burning ants with a magnifying glass. God is not some mischief filled child who torments...us mere mortals after we expire. It makes no sense- I trust that God who created the good and the evil - is all mighty and shows mercy to all.
It was man made religion that instantly became a political force that created the idea of behave yourself - submit to the state and church or we will burn you alive...Hell is oblivion..."The dead they sleep they know nothing" _ being raise up into some from of consciousness after physical death is possible- BUT - I believe you have to believe in this without doubt and you have to request it - Some just want to sleep forever and others want to be awake for ever...You can have it either way - ask and you will receive, if you know what you want.
