This is a very good song. Rock of Ages. It's just the music with the lyrics printed out for you to sing along with. It's about depending on the grace of God for salvation. You have to scroll down a ways to get to the lyrics.

Rock of Ages

Great praise song ,,,,Like the first two lines Rock of Ages , cleft to me,, let me hide myself in thee,,,,,,,,,means Rock of Christ everlasting,,, cleft to me means: to adhere closely, cling,to remain faithful to ones principles in spite of persecution,,,,,,,let me hid myself in thee mean : the Worship of Fortitude

I remember Mommy use to sing this song when I was a little girl growing up, thanks for the great memories that this song has invoked. With her Savior....that's where she is indeed. Thank you.

It's been a while since I listened to this so when I just now got a rep from a non member for it, I decided to play it. And so I thought I would just bring the thread back to the top for the benefit of anyone who hasn't heard it or would like to hear it again.

I'm glad you brought this thread back up Mike.....I just sat and sang the whole thing here at 2 am in the morning. What a beautiful song that I needed to be singing this night of insomnia!!

I find it to be very soothing and calming. And it is beautiful. 'Rock of Ages' and 'Holy, Holy, Holy' are two of my favorite hymals.

Grammar.

Let's hope he spots more serious errors, too.
