BWAH HA! I will have to remember to address him that way on the morning of his birthday.

Denverian, oh trust me, I've heard all about the 420 thing too! Husband was a hero in his high school for having that birthday. This being SoCal and all...

Yep! A few years ago, 4/20 was also on a Sunday, but not Easter. My DD was a student there at the time.

True, they ought to celebrate "Christmas," which is all about the days starting to get longer when they actually do "down under" and Easter in their Spring!

Good thinking.

The Southern Equator is actually closer celebrating Christmas in Easter...AFAIK, it has been determined that Jesus would have been born in August...is that correct?

Actually, no one knows when Jesus was born. The presence of shepherds watching their sheep can mean any month of the year in Israel.

He was born during the Feast of Tabernacles. While we dont know the exact day, know it was that time since he died at 33.5 yrs old and 6 months before Passover when he died is feast of Tabernacles.

I always wondered why they don't do it that way. Then it would be fun to take a trip to Australia in June and celebrate Christmas!
