Seriously, you can do it yourself. Check out Jesus' assertion that God is love and the injunction to love your enemies and the find where the Bible claims that God ordered the wholesale slaughter of populations including infants.
Are you able to list some of these scriptures that contradict Christ's teachings for me?
Those who cannot divide the truth always say NT teaches love, while the God of OT ordered war. Both the OT and the NT teach love, and both talk about the need for the authority to carry a sword. The people in OT Israeli military were " God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer". God appointed them in their places. The New Testament also teaches that God appoints people and authorizes them to carry a sword.
So, there is the authority, the police, military etc, who are appointed by God and authorized to carry a sword, and then there are us, Christians, who Jesus instructed to love our neighbors. Is there a contradiction for a Christian person being a police officer? No, there isn't. God bless them.
When scriptures contradict what Christ taught, then I cannot accept it as true and there are many of those. I will not follow a book. Jesus said "Follow Me". There was no bible in existence when he said that.

Jesus spoke of the flood as a real event. ??? He didn't portray it as a contradiction.
Wow, I guess I'm the wrong person to answer first because I believe in God because of the message of Jesus and that could only make sense when I DON'T believe the whole Bible is the word of God.

Well, ........Your right in the fact your the wrong person to answer. Apparently you really don't believe God or Jesus .
God did send the flood and Jesus used it to warn us in His teaching !
As jimmyj stated....."Jesus spoke of the flood as a real event. ??? He didn't portray it as a contradiction."
Now in that book called the Bible,
you seem to believe the flood was a myth. So therefore you believe that Jesus used false ideas to tell/teach us truth
Definition of Myth: A widely held but false belief or idea.
Now why would the Lord Jesus want to deceive, lie...... in using a false idea/belief to be truth, too present the truth ?
Seriously, it is a shame !
As our Lord Jesus there was NO sin in Him and a false idea is a lie , a sin !

Wrong. You seem to be seriously misinformed about myths and fables They were designed to communicate important principles or concepts to primitive unsophisticated minds. Aesop's fables were not designed to teach false ideas! Parables were used for similar purposes. Those who take them as literal history or truth are misunderstanding them.

Your definition of myth is woefully wrong. I'm not going to convince you to get out of your box, but now you know that there are people devoted to the message of Christ who don't worship the bible.
