Being a stroke (TIA) survivor myself I was found encouragement and support information from this site started by Jeff Porter, a fellow survivor.

This Christ-centered blog is designed to serve stroke survivors, families and friends, through sharing experience and faith. My own stroke came on May 8, 1998. God provided medical professionals, friends, fellow believers, and strength to get me through some struggling recovery times.

https://www.facebook.com/StrokeofFaith/info This page, like the blog, is not about me. Rather, it is about faith in God. It’s about sharing experience and faith with fellow stroke survivors and their families, to help them if possible. It is about providing support for those in need. It is about raising stroke awareness everywhere.

“The public is dangerously uninformed about what stroke is, and what the signs and symptoms of stroke are, as well as the risk factors,” Jim Baranski, C.E.O. of the National Stroke Association, told Reuters Health.

I was looking for years to get into the profession of physical therapy. I thought I would have done a great job working with stroke victims... possibly a good way to share the gospel. I don't know though how things are in this country now.

That's great to hear how you've recovered.

Were you seriously going to use your position of authority (because that is what any medical practitioner has over a patient) as a conduit to spread your personal religious belief system?

Really?

You see nothing wrong with that?

Really?

What if YOUR doctor was Muslim and prothlezied to you while you were on the examination table. Or if he was Wicca?
