The fact of the matter is....we are NOT under the Mosaic Covenant. We no longer have to observe the Law.
But yes--it certainly IS relevant to us. It's our history, and it tells us WHY we need a savior. Paul wrote in Romans that the Law is a schoolmaster -- pointing out to us that we NEED a savior.
Good points ^ above ^ because we are No longer under the temporary Constitution of the Mosaic Law which was given to only one nation and that was the nation of ancient Israel.

Jesus however thought that Law was relevant because Jesus often prefaced his statements with the words, "it is written"
meaning already written in the old Hebrew Scriptures. Jesus explained the Hebrew writings for us, and the principles still apply such as the Golden Rule.

The Bible is unique in that it has corresponding or parallel reference verses or passages throughout the Scriptures thus showing the internal harmony among its many writers. Truly all inspired by God - 2nd Timothy 3 vs 16,17

Yes, we need a Savior to be freed from sin and death and to be saved [ rescued / delivered ] through the coming ' great tribulation' [ Rev. 7 v 14 ] so we can continue living on earth right into the start of Jesus' coming 1000-year kingdom reign over earth.

The view of old and new testament is the wrong way to look at Gods word. It all is relevant in the growth and life of those who are taught by God. As the son says; Everyone shall be taught by God. Whoever has heard from the Father and learned from Him comes to me.

"Man does not live by bread alone but by every word from the mouth of God."
