There is something going on - an awareness that there are questions to be asked and some changes needed. The ruckus over a reduction for prayer diner did not go down well with a lot of atheists. I try to encourage reasonably polite engagement with anyone who wants to question. Disagreement can be strong, but it isn't personal with me.
Eusebius and I fight like a couple bantams but we are good mates, really. Forged in the fires of McClellan. And I have enjoyed my sparring with my opposites here. And I do hope that some misconceptions and misunderstandings have been addressed.
Not least the one that supposes that evilooshun is as basic to atheism as the Bible is to Creationism.

Arequipa, interestingly enough, I feel the same way as you. Of course, no one really knows each other behind these computer screens, but to be honest, I really wish well for all the folks who come here. I hate no one and I know that some might be going through illness and/or other hardships right now. Others might be just fine, but at the end of the day, religious views and political divides apart, we're all just trying to make our way through life. Some folks take it all too serious, and by that I mean, look to burst blood vessels and get their bloomers in a bunch, like the person who started this thread, but frankly, it isn't THAT serious.
I love me a good joke at times and some Jesus/God/Mohammad skits are hilarious especially when they are drawn with those dumb look on their faces, but I sure don't hate people for their religious views. I might find them silly and counterproductive at times, but if at the end of the day it makes someone a BETTER person, caring for their fellow man and doing positive things NOT at the expense of others, you're good with me.
