5. In Gibeon Yahweh appeared to Solomon in a dream by night; and God said, Ask what I shall give thee (1 Kings 3:5)
9. Give thy servant therefore an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and evil; for who is able to judge this thy great people? 10. And the speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing. (1 Kings 3:9-10)
Remember to ask always the things which are according to the will of God, so you may receive them, and the knowledge of God's will may grow in you.
It is good to ask some understanding, so that we may follow the righteous ways of God in the Lord Jesus Christ.
