8 But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day. 9 The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.

I just read Matt. 24. I see Jesus did talk about the end. This is crazy, I didn't know Jesus actually did talk about the stuff that is in the book of revelations.

Scripture tells us to study endtime prophecy.

Rev. 1

3 Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.
Every person I have ever known who is wound up in end times prophecy spent far more time trying to get that "right" than they ever did trying to DO things right. It is a dodge to justify failing to serve God. Jesus took His breaks by dining with sinners and praying for all the poor saps that couldn't or wouldn't see the real message of justice and mercy for one's neighbor. Like the Pharisees, end times folks rarely get the true message of scripture.

99.99% of the Christians I've known were not "wound up" in end-time prophecy. It is treated like any other scripture. We read/study it like the rest.

Obviously end-time prophecy was important to Christ, since He spoke of it, and encouraged us to pay attention. We should give it the same perspective.
