Does your rightousness come by faith, or by works? Do you know that the servant is temporary, but the son is forever? (John 8:35)

Sarah or Hagar - who's your momma?

Your righteousness comes through Lord Jesus Christ , Your works in Christ comes from what Jesus does through you which will only be remembered in Heaven in your Judgment seat before Jesus.......Your mamma is Jesus

The Op seems to write about the Jewish law works, which do not save soul, just by doing it, but the good works of righteousness, if you leave behind, then you have leave the way of righteousness, and salvation.

We are justified through the faith of Jesus Christ.

Gal 2:16 having perceived that a man is not being justified by works of law, except alone through the faith
of Christ Jesus, we also believe in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by the faith of Christ and not by
works of law, seeing that by works of law shall no flesh at all be justified."

Some perVersion of the Bible say "justified by the faith in Christ." But "faith of Christ" is in the genitive case
which is possessive, such as "Son of God" or "God's Son." So we have "faith of Christ" or "Christ's faith."

The only thing you take, or in this case leave, are your words and actions. When they are aligned you are remember in the particles of this universe as a honest human.

Exactly - not even 'faith' is from the natural man, but rather a gift; each man is given the measure of faith (Romans 12:3)

The Gospel (good news) is freedom the law, which was given to the children of Israel at Mt. Sinai after they had boasted in their own ability to do anything God required of them. (Exodus 19:8)

The 10 Commandments (and 502 other laws) were given to show man that he cannot be righteous. (Romans 3:20)

So now that we are under a better covenent, why do we remain in the old - or mix the two? Old wine in new wineskins, or lukewarm so that He spits us out of His mouth? Does His crucifixion mean the same thing to you as it does to the Father?

Correct, the law was given only to the children of Israel, not to the nations.

Also correct that the law was given to prove Israel could not keep it. It was given to lead them to Christ.

Galatians 3:22 states this as well...

When he asks the question "Who's your momma?" he's referring to the question of Ishmael or Isaac that Paul talks about in Galatians. Those of us that trust in Christ as saved by faith are free -- and we are said to be children of Sarah. Those that think we are saved by works are said to be children of Hagar -- born into slavery. Paul makes this comparison in Galatians 4.

So everyone......who's your Momma? Are you a slave to the Law? Or are you saved by faith in the Messiah -- the descendant of Isaac?
