No one is arguing that, but the majority of AIDS/HIV cases in the world are in heterosexual populations.

It is now but not at the beginning, at least not in our country. Most cases were reported in gay men.

That's so, patient zero in the US is thought to have been a male homosexual airline attendant who was very promiscuous.

Again, AIDs is not a reason to avoid homosexual acts these days. It is a very good reason for everyone, heterosexual and homosexual, to avoid irresponsible sex and irresponsible sex partners.

It's even a reason for everyone, gay or straight, to be monogamous, or even married.

Late to the conversation here and didn't read every post, but, the poster who quoted Romans 1 in this thread needs to re-examine the application of it.

The various texts were written to and about specific people.

Romans 1:18 and beyond is about the ancient dispersion of humanity at Babel and how God temporarily gave them up as they had given up on Him( temporarily because the reclaiming of the nations is among the strongest motifs in the OT), it is not about how a historic person gets X or Y urge during their daily lives.

Next chapter is about the ancient Jews and their failures as well.

When you apply passages outside their ancient context, you are missing the message. It has nothing to do with how a person now would be either gay or the other things in that passage, such as willfully suppressing the knowledge of God. Obviously a modern gay person who wants to be associated with Christ is not suppressing the knowledge of God.

True. Christians judge fornication between straights much less sinful and offensive than homosexual acts.
