Really, SAAN, the problem is that the majority of Christians are very ignorant of the TaNaKh...They do not know what it really says because they have an adulterated version of it...That seems to be modified to support the NT...
They don't know how to think and understand in an Eastern way of thinking, they think and understand in a Western way...The two are not the same...Since the TaNaKh is an Eastern Book one cannot try to read it with a Western way of thinking...
This is just elitist nonsense. You refer to us as "they" when in fact you are one us.
I am sure that God intended for all nations to understand the Covenants of God because He sent Christ as the Light for all nations. He is also called the seed of Abraham from whom all the families of the earth are blessed. From the beginning of the Jews God had the plan to save all of mankind who would believe the Gospel. When Jesus said that "man shall not live by bread alone", He was talking about all mankind, not just the Jews.
From the Tanakh and I understand it as well as from the KJV
Yeshayahu- Isaiah - Chapter 49
1.Hearken, you islands, to me, and listen closely, you nations, from afar; the Lord called me from the womb, from the innards of my mother He mentioned my name. א.
2.And He made my mouth like a sharp sword, He concealed me in the shadow of His hand; and He made me into a polished arrow, He hid me in His quiver. ב.
3.And He said to me, "You are My servant, Israel, about whom I will boast." ג.
4.And I said, "I toiled in vain, I consumed my strength for nought and vanity." Yet surely my right is with the Lord, and my deed is with my God. ד.
5.And now, the Lord, Who formed me from the womb as a servant to Him, said to bring Jacob back to Him, and Israel shall be gathered to Him, and I will be honored in the eyes of the Lord, and my God was my strength. ה.
6.And He said, "It is too light for you to be My servant, to establish the tribes of Jacob and to bring back the besieged of Israel, but I will make you a light of nations, so that My salvation shall be until the end of the earth." ו.
Since many Christians see the law as bondage, they are going to be very upset during the 1000 yr millennium with Christ where they have to follow the law.
Micah 4:2 (NKJV)
2 Many nations shall come and say,
“Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,
To the house of the God of Jacob;
He will teach us His ways,
And we shall walk in His paths.â€
For out of Zion the law shall go forth,
And the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
Why in the world would you think that has anything to do with laws? God's Word gives us a principle to live by, not laws.

Why through out the entire bible does God say obey my commandments, Jesus say to obey the commandments and the disciples teach the commandments? His commands are the principles we are to live by.

Translation bias in the NT, poor understanding of what it is all about in the OT. A better understanding of what Jesus was saying is "Do as I have taught you."
Controllers have been (surprise surprise) at the helm for institutional representations of what Jesus was talking about, so best to take them with a grain of salt and pay attention to the message rather than the words chosen to slant it.
There is ONE "Commandment" foundational to the "New Covenant," and it is not something that can be commanded; to love.
Yep, but it is heavenly Jerusalem and the Law will be that found in the new scrolls to be opened not the old law which is gone for followers of Christ, as he fulfilled and ended it.
This is what I mean...You don't seem to understand eastern thinking...You don't know what fulfillment of the law means....
Mat 5:28 But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
Mat 5:29 If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body be thrown into hell.
Mat 5:30 And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body go into hell.
How many in this thread have followed exactly the commands of Jesus in these verses? you don't get to pick and choose which laws you will follow...........not one on this thread or forum has followed the law perfectly......don't see a lot of missing hands or eyes out there......and you all know you are guilty.........and every person who is under the law and yet broken even one is doomed.............
Nope...That's not the law...And it seems that you don't understand the workings of the law...
