I know right? What good is a God who isn't threatening you with eternal damnation? Boor-ing!

I believe that. I also believe the fundamentalists do not have a monopoly on Him. I believe Ronkon is old friends with God. I believe the fundamentalists have a lot to learn about God. I believe a good start would be to pay attention to people like Ronkon.

I also believe that will never happen because fundamentalists don't pay attention to liberals, the poor, Catholics, anyone in the LGBTQ community, women and children, Mormons, undocumented immigrants, anyone who voted for Obama, people of color who aren't fundamentalists, people in favor of the ACA, Buddhists, and Hollywood producers. Unless that Hollywood producer makes porn. In which case they happily pay attention.

Because the alternate spelling for fundamentalist is hypocrite.

My point is that a god that you control is not really God. You are really your own god since you are running things... or in this case RonkonkomaNative.

Then, why control him?

I do not control God. I am not motivated to control God.

You believe your relationship with God is the only relationship possible.

Your relationship with God suits you, even though I find it unpleasant. You need unpleasant, and God seems to show you unpleasant. Without the threat of punishment, you would be out of control and probably a harm to the community.
You have no other choice put to seek the unpleasant in God.

That does not work with me. I do not grow, and blossom with unpleasant, so God does not show me unpleasant. God knows I do not sin. I do not need to be punished or reproved. The very idea is silly.

I think it is possible for you to let go of your control God issues, but that is between you and God.

I am content, happy, and blessed. Life is good.

"Getting Saved" is nothing more than a social act forced upon often times scared and ignorant children and adults by fundamentalist Christians. I remember the "altar calls"... "Turn or burn, sinner!!"

Then the preacher (later went to prison, as they do) would add a number up in front on a sign he had running that said something like "souls saved from eternal torment". It was all about numbers, fanfare, trying to hood in new members, and then of course, controlling people.

Wow. You just keep topping yourself. Ronkon is her own god?

Is there someplace you went to learn this stuff (seminary, school, men's Bible study, some weird ashram for fundamentalists) or do you think it up all by yourself?
