SO the question is, how would you live your life is salvation were no longer the selling point for interacting with Christ..

Is salvation the ONLY justification for claiming a relationship with god. If your god just announced--ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS HELP OTHERS...would that satisfy your need and would that be the basis for a relationship with your god?
Christians are redeemed. Salvation is the most important thing God has done for us. Only then can we do works that please Him.

What is the difference in you giving the poor something to eat and those who don't believe like you ?.

jimmiej, you STILL don't get the question. How would you relate to God and man IF there were no eternal life to entice you?

I've been busy correcting Zman's mistakes.

You seem to think eternal life is just a reward. It's also anout making us right, as God intended. If this life was all there is and there was no chance to actually be with my creator, the motivation might be different. Not sure.

How about you?

I asked myself that once. I have found there is no better life available than following the directives and Principle given for Christians in the Bible.

great question, as Christ announced exactly that, at "Love your neighbor; this fulfills the law." but a Fundie will not allow that this is salvation.

You're not moved by Jesus' words, "I go to prepare a place for you..."? Or John's description of the New Jerusalem?

lol, as Bender said to his "followers," "this is the maximum level of being with me." perhaps.

Jesus also said, "This is my blood, which is shed for the forgiveness of sins." Why do liberals ignore that?
