I'm not talking about progressive churches. Just the regular evangelical churches.

In other words you feel "sorry" for anyone who doesn't hold your old-fashioned views, right?

I am not reading his view ozz, his is not ready yet.

But what views are "old fashioned"?

Ones like ...

we are a universe having a human experience?

or

That amidst the sounds of a busy city street I heard the reflection of a bird?
The sound rippled through us all.
Only a few smiled.
we knew

I don't know any evangelicals that dwell on it. Believe it or not, the women in my church have jobs! They get to leave the home! They drive, they even have friends outside of the home. Some CHOOSE to stay at home with their kids, but they actually do carry on full lives.
It's so baked into your way of life that you don't even know that you're doing it. You said that if a woman became a minister at your denomination you would leave.

You are caught in pain, it blinds your sight.
You will have to release that resentment against who ever it is you hate.

Go feed the man with the food I gave you.

So would a cardboard box.

And offer twice the empathy.

I thought his post made perfect sense, and it seems like a pretty common reading of Genesis. Are you saying that you are a church pastor but you are only aware of the literal interpretation of parables? Even if you don't agree, I would think that a pastor would have come across differing views at some point in Bible study. I'm trying to converse with you but it's hard to understand where you are coming from.

Anyway I think this topic strikes a nerve with some. Maybe everyone who worships this god has similar views about gender as Adam did. ("This woman that you gave me. She did it.")

And if that is the case, then the author of Genesis surely did NOT worship a sexist god.

Sexism is a political belief

The only ones that tell girls they can't it is the guys.
