just stumble across a post 1800 psuedo christian cult. based in the U.S.A the land of post 1800 cults

The Six Hallmarks of a NAR Church

Here are those traits, beliefs, and some of the common lingo used by adherents:

1. “APOSTLES”

We’re in a “Second Apostolic Age.” There are new Apostles are on the earth today, anointed by the laying of hands to represent and speak for God here on Earth. These "Super Apostles" are equal to the original Apostles – the ones who witnessed Jesus’ life, death and resurrection and were appointed by Christ Himself to the office. Since these new apostles are commissioned by God, their authority may not be questioned.

2. “KINGDOM”

Rather than preach the Gospel of the cross, Apostolic leaders are working to bring the Gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven to Earth. They do this by taking dominion of earthly kingdoms or “mountains” of government, media, entertainment, education, business, family, and religion. Leaders often talk of city building and organize prayer walks to pray against demonic strongholds. They often speak of being mission-focused rather than being Christ-centered.

3. “DESTINY” “PRESENCE” “GLORY”

Though members are not always charismatic, they frequently emphasize a manifestation of “Glory” and “God’s presence,” and often have a special anointing to receive direct revelation from God, perform healings and other signs and wonders. They teach that our purpose is to achieve our dream destiny so that we can change the world.

4. “REVIVAL”

Revival on a massive scale is key in this movement. There is a strong emphasis on an “end times harvest” through a great awakening that we can usher in. Often these revivals are held in stadiums and reach millions around the world via live stream technology; they are marketed and produced like rock concerts. All scripture verses about an end times falling away are ignored, and get replaced with hyped-up claims about the Next Big Thing that's always just around the corner.

5. “UNITY”

Unity (at the expense of biblical doctrine) is almost always used as both the how and the why in this movement. Unity for the sake of bringing Heaven to Earth is leading to the blurring of doctrinal and denominational lines, often bringing together well-known leaders of charismatic, reformed, Word of Faith, seeker-emergent, progressive and Roman Catholics churches, all under one umbrella.

Finally, NAR churches almost always abandon a major tenant of Christian faith:

6. NAR DENIES THE SUFFICIENCY OF SCRIPTURE.

NAR adherents may believe in the inerrancy and authority of the Bible, but God’s breathed-out Word is just not enough for them. Jesus’ sacrificial death for our sins is not good enough; the promise of eternal life in Heaven is not good enough.

rotf.. there is one difference between a wheat and a tare... the wheat bows and tares don't bow under the weight of His glory. His Glory when it comes ... you can't tell a tares from a wheat until just before it is harvested . now a Judgemental spirit thinks it can tell by a few "key" words that you don't believe .

sorry but only his Glory at his coming will reveal his truth and show the wheat from the tares... so put your boney fingers back in your pockets, stop judging the churches , because your (maybe tares or maybe tears ) in your pedicoats are showing from lifting your skirt up .
let the churches do their Job in his body . it is his body Not yours .... if everyone was only your part in his body . nothing would ever live and be or do anything. His body has many parts , and you might be part of his body now ..so maybe appreciate the differences in the functions and learning curves or maybe you will get popped like a red swollen and infectious zit which was once part of the body at one time.

This is a discerning look at the New Apostolic Reformation. the Question: Have the Apostolic gifts returned to the Church?

Mar 16:17
And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
Mar 16:18
They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Mar 16:19

So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
Mar 16:20
And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

this verse has no such thing as a time stamp..

when he or anyone actually becomes a believer maybe then we should listen to any of them. in the mean time everyone is just learning .. or failing to learn something . because none of us have picked up our cross and walk like he walks. we are all yet to be one of his brothers , the first of many , as far as I see really no one really believes yet.
and yes young prophets make bad mistakes , but it says that only other prophets should judge prophets ... so where is the churches bodies of prophets who are really believers? let them step up and prove it , then they can judge the young prophets in the mean time the wannabee a believer but are not (but they are not yet real believers and have a form of godliness but are those who deny the power of God ) as one non believer yet to another none believer yet , they probably need to shut up .
as we are all learning something or failing to learn something .

Amen. The finishing work has not been done yet, and the finishing work is applying the hem of His garment (where the blue stripe representing power of His Spirit is) and can only be done by Him to those that have bowed themselves low enough to touch into that realm via calling, election, and grace. When the power hits, no one will have to guess anymore where Truth is, it will be standing right in front of them in shoe leather together in a people He is not ashamed to call brethren (same Father, same Mother, a son of the son of G-d). Who shall declare (means to show openly) HIS generation? Peace
