Really ... Matthew 26:52 is about not serving in the military?
Then why Matthew 26:53 Jesus said that at his biding he had over 12 legions of angels at his disposal?

Of course, when Jesus said "12 legions" everybody then didn't picture "12 Roman military legions"

Do you really think these 12 legions of angels (Matthew 26:53) wasn't willing to fight for God?
Hint: They did it before -- Rev 12:7.

So, it is the 'so-called Christians' which is problematic.
Remember: Matthew 7:21-23 that MANY would come in Jesus' name but prove false.
What's problematic is that people forget what Jesus said concerning the faith of Roman centurion on the way to his house:
“I tell you, I have not found such great faith even in Israel.” ~ Jesus Luke 7:9

Default Martin Luther King---Prophet on War

Quote:
One of the major casualties of the war in Vietnam, King argued, was the fight against poverty.

"America would never invest the necessary funds or energies in rehabilitation of its poor, so long as adventures like Vietnam continued to draw men and skills and money like some demonic suction tube."

Philosopher Lionel McPherson recently described King's words as a "radical call to reconsider US national priorities.

"What does it profit a man," King asked, to be able to eat at an integrated lunch counter if he doesn't earn enough money to buy a hamburger and a cup of coffee?"

King's moral urgency on these questions stemmed in part from his sense that the failure to secure fair value of our rights in an affluent and ostensibly democratic society expressed a contempt that is "wasting and degrading human life." In the case of Vietnam, he asked why the vital needs of the poor did not outweigh the profligate pursuit of unjust war.

Congress has turned its eyes from this structural unfairness to focus primarily on increasing military funding and lowering tax rates for large corporations and the wealthy. Meanwhile, state legislatures across the country target social services for elimination and privatization by decrying their supposed wastefulness.King identified this tendency in 1967: "While the anti-poverty program is cautiously initiated, zealously supervised, and evaluated for immediate results, billions are liberally expended for this ill-considered war."

Remarkably, this first copy I have received from the Plough Magazine, arrived today in the mail. Does God work miracles or what?

My only enemies are bigots, hypocrites, bullies and liars.

I do not love them.

I will not love them.

Until they are no longer bigots, hypocrites, bullies and liars.

King was righteous to preach not only against racism, but against the poverty caused by spending our national treasure on war.

So how do you love your enemies ? ..... You pray for blessings of God on their life and well being , as God gives good gifts of life where God can make the enemies, friends in His blessings .... Then politically the former government snubbed their noses at Christians and still had thousands killed in their wars , so all Christians could do was pray for blessing of God on the people in government , and God would bless them in His way.....

When has American freedom ever been threatened?

Naturally the common people don't want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in America, nor in Germany. That is understood. But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.”

– Hermann Goering

99% of all religion on earth is owned by satan. Its by his will all the hatred and wars and the such occur. They keep throwing lip service at Jesus, but do not listen to him as you have pointed out.
Love your enemies--The bible shared what that entails--If your enemy is hungry-FEED him--If thirsty-give him a drink--- it did not say--kill him if a govt mortal tells you its ok. Or a fake spiritual teacher tells you its ok. neither of them even know Jesus and vica versa( Matt 7:22-23)

Read Franklin D. Roosevelt`s Four Freedoms Speech delivered on January 6, 1941.

Mr. Speaker, members of the 77th Congress:

I address you, the members of this new Congress, at a moment unprecedented in the history of the union. I use the word "unprecedented" because at no previous time has American security been as seriously threatened from without as it is today.

^ Why keep throwing out WWII? Most agree that in that case fighting back was justified and necessary. But many other wars were (and are) not like that.
