There's a big difference between leaving church/denomination/religion, and leaving spirituality altogether. Leaving the first is like not going to McDonalds any more, vs. the second, which is like discontinuing eating (analogy-wise).
If leaving church/denomination/religion results in improvement of one's life, then it's likely a healthy move away from dysfunction and nonsense. The focus then shouldn't be on the person leaving, but the unhealthy mess at the root of the situation.
I'd rather talk about and put the focus the groups behind the junk and their screwed up mentality, than the smart people - simply acting wisely - who are removing themselves from it.
Still, Christians should seek community and not “go it alone”.
Hmmm. That seems to be quite different from the people who post here on City-Data. The members who have self-identified as members of the LGBT community almost always identify as Christians, while almost none of the non-believers say they are LGBT.
Yet, the vast majority of them don't believe what Christianity has historically taught for 2000 years. Weird how that works.
but everything that goes through a crooked mind comes out crooked...
" these things will follow those who (really) believe" ... "they will" ..................
If even "the faith of a mustard seed" ... "they will" too ...
So until we are there
don't interpret it ... Just learn it..
Let the holy spirit interpret it and confirm it super naturally.... Double witnesseed..
Anything less is you all doing y'all..
tonight at sunset is Shavuot. The Jews say it commemorates it as the day he gave the Torah on mt. Sinai.
Well to Christians. It commemorates....the giving/baptism of the Holy Spirit with power to do all Jesus did .. You must walk in spirit and truth(reality)..
So the Holy Spirit was given.. Is an extension of him giving the Torah. Both commemorations are just as true as the other one..ands just as holy.......but another level deeper and wider and wiser....in every application of the Holy Spirits uses for real life to mature the man in His word.. from his words........
You cannot separate his Word or laws...from the Holy Spirit.
if you think and are anti word.. you dont have His Holy Spirit.. the foundations of everythingand every promises is in his Word
if you don't have the Torah and the Holy Spirit, the one to discern and help you apply it.. like a momma does help her kids ot live with their Dads laws... She does that for her kids that don't want to disappoint their Father........
They came on the same day for a reason.. They are for the same purpose.... But both needed to complete our humanityand ot restore us .. to our former place with the Father household.....
Israel may have gotten the words. And "Christians" think they got the Spirit...
But without both.... No one can get His life done like he did it..and that is the goal..... Because
He is the older brother who leads the way , and we are to be like him .. He is our example of salvation.

Not necessarily. Some are better off working directly with God, one-on-one. They felt led in that direction, and shouldn't be hassled or push in a different direction.
There are no rules or requirements.
Beware of people trying to change and manipulate others. That's probably the biggest curse we face.

I agree there are no rules in Christianity. But I believe God wants us to gather and work together with other believers. Rick Warren said in “The Purpose-filled Life”, we can do more together. Believers need to listen to the call of God in their life.

There shouldn't be but there is. The golden rule is the law of the Spirit of Life which never fails like the law of gravity when faith is expressed in love.

19 We love because he first loved us. 20 Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. 21 And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister.
the obvious conclusion to these verses is ..... that they must first have brothers and sisters... that they are learning to love as he loves with..
the biggest difference with all you who want to "love" ( I say very loosely) "his church" from a far distance away ... is
the difference is someone hearing a radio or being
someone at a concert..
two can put ten thousand to flight. synergy
the devil also has syngery... only it is spelled sinergy..
we have at least two YY..Yaws in there...
