I base my assessment on what fundies say and do. And I have found them to be dark-hearted, joyless, bitter, narrow-minded and dishonest.

Exactly.

Not all Christians are religious fundamentalists. This is absolutely a true statement.

I also read the article TroutDude posted, and it seems to be a factual history of Christian fundamentalism. That article also demarcates the difference between fundamentalism and other forms of Christianity, as well as how that came to be, which supports mensaguy's point.

None of this has anything to do with a Catholic Archbishop's prayer for the USA, so

Discuss something related to the topic or start a new thread.
